Hue of Crisis

The data we worked with consists of images taken from news websites, sourced from articles related to the climate crisis.

The project aims to map this data according to color encoding, time, geographic location, elements within the image, and landscape type.

We created an interactive interface that enables filtering and browsing of the data, allowing for simultaneous distant reading and close reading - both an overview of the dataset and the ability to extract and closely examine individual items.
