Climate Tags

In this project, we examined the secondary tags used in social media posts that include the climate hashtag. Our goal was to identify the key associations surrounding climate-related discourse on social platforms. To communicate our findings, we designed a series of infographic posters, each highlighting a distinct trend revealed by the data.

After reviewing the dataset, we found that the hashtags are highly insightful and contain a rich variety of themes. This allowed us to extract meaningful information, so we decided to categorize and group them in order to better understand the different content domains they represent.

We began by mapping the hashtags into secondary tags and filtering only those that appeared more than five times. This resulted in a set of [378] distinct hashtags, with a total count of [4740] appearances.
